What phone would you pick?

| Haru: | We are at Oakridge Mall to do interviews with people. |
| Lando: | And so, our question today is going to be like, “Yo, if you had unlimited money like you just have endless amounts in your bank account, what kind of phone would you get? |
| Person 1: | What phone would I buy… Hmm… I guess, there’s this phone that has a professional grade camera loaded into it and I can’t recall the name right now but it’s ridiculously expensive. |
| Alpha: | The Hydrogen Red? |
| Person 1: | Yeah, the Red. |
| Person 2: | Apple, probably the recent one. |
| Lando: | iPhone 11? |
| Person 2: | The 11? Yeah. |
| Lando: | Why? Cause it is popular or are you with Apple right now? |
| Person 2: | Yeah, currently with Apple. I should stick with Apple yeah. |
| Person 3: | I think Apple. |
| Alpha: | Oh Apple? |
| Lando: | And you were mentioning about Huawei earlier as well? |
| Person 3: | Huawei is also good. |
| Lando: | Why do you think Huawei and Apple? Is it because they’re big names and well known? |
| Person 3: | That is the reason. |
| Person 4: | Why not buy an iPhone? |
| Lando: | The newest edition of iPhone? |
| Person 4: | Definitely. |
| Lando: | Why would you choose Apple? |
| Person 4: | Because it is user-friendly. |
| Person 5: | Oh well I guess I’ll get the latest iPhone. |
| Haru: | Yes, so the iPhone 11? |
| Person 5: | Is that what it is? |
| Haru: | Yes yes. That’s the newest. |
| Person 5: | Mine’s a (iPhone) 6 so that tells me something. |
| Lando: | Why would you choose an Apple out of every other brand, is there something you find special about Apple? |
| Person 5: | Uh no? I’m not tech savvy and I already have an Apple phone so I don’t wanna learn to use another phone. |
| Person 6: | I don’t even know what particular phone that I would get, I know that I don’t want an iPhone anymore I’m ticked off with those guys and just the way that they handle everything. What does my mom have? I think it’s a Samsung? That’s probably what I will go for next. |
| Lando: | Probably the newest Samsung. |
| Person 6: | I have no idea what kind. |
| Lando: | So Samsung actually just introduced a new model just a few days ago. |
| Alpha: | It’s called the S20. |
| Person 6: | Oh did they? |
| Person 7: | Oh for sure not an iPhone, I hate those, they’re the worst. So I’d probably go with the latest Pixel whichever is available from Google. |
| Haru: | Do you currently use Pixel? |
| Person 7: | Yeah I have a Pixel 2. |
| Person 8: | I’d probably get the newest Samsung. |
| Alpha: | The S20? |
| Person 8: | Yes. |
| Haru: | Have you been with Samsung before? |
| Person 8: | Yeah I have the (Samsung) S9+. |
| Person 9: | Probably the new Samsung S20 that just came out. |
| Haru: | Have you always been with Samsung? |
| Person 9: | No. I was with Apple before. |
| Haru: | So you’re switching to Samsung? |
| Person 9: | No I got the S8 two years ago so. |
| Alpha: | What actually got you to think about Samsung again? |
| Person 9: | Much better photos. The iPhone is horrible. |
| Person 10: | I really don’t know, I only know Apple. |
| Lando: | Were you with Apple before? |
| Person 10: | Yeah. |
| Lando: | So you were just thinking about sticking with Apple? |
| Person 10: | Yeah, I’m using Apple like all my life. I don’t know anything else. |
| Person 11: | Umm I guess I would get the newest iPhone. |
| Haru: | Have you always been with an iPhone? |
| Person 11: | Yeah since 2008, 2009 maybe. |
| Lando: | What did you have before? |
| Person 11: | Oh right now I have an iPhone 8. Before an iPhone I had a flip cell phone. |
| Lando: | Oh so you went directly to an iPhone. Have you been liking the iPhone, the Apple products? |
| Person 11: | Yeah. |
| Lando: | Do you think it suits you and it’s like a good investment for your money? |
| Person 11: | Yeah I think I wish my bill wasn’t so high all the time. |
| Person 12: | Just buy one phone? Maybe Apple? |
| Haru: | The new Apple? |
| Person 12: | Yeah. |
| Person 13: | Umm I’d probably wait for the Samsung S20 Ultra. |
| Person 14: | I would do the same yes. |
| Person 13: | I think it’s coming out soon. I watched like a video on it yesterday. |
| Alpha: | What was your previous phone? |
| Person 13: | The one that I have now is a (Samsung) S9+. |
| Person 14: | And I have a (Google) Pixel 2. |
| Haru: | In conclusion, we expected that people would choose iPhones over Samsungs and other brands. |
| Alpha: | But as it turns out, people would rather choose Samsungs because the (Samsung) S20 just came out. |
| Haru: | This trend could possibly be reversed in the future when the new iPhone gets released. |
